If they'd turned up just a few minutes earlier Richard and Judy could have helped us push the caravan onto the pitch. Anyway, Richard made himself useful filling the kettle from the service point, as we didn't bother with the aquaroll since we were only stopping for the night. Judy thought the site was lovely and very well kept, and the toilets were immaculate. Richard even popped into Tesco's, only five minutes walk away from the site in Tewkesbury town centre and bought us a couple of pizzas for tea. Cheers Rich!

Hot on Richard and Judy's tail was the beautiful Shania Twain. She was heading up North to top the bill at Silverwood Miners Welfare Club, Rotherham, appearing at a country and western line dancing night and was to be supported by the Raymond Frogget band. Since the site was only five minutes drive from the M42 she decided to call off and visit. She commented on how level the site was, unlike the last site she had stayed on, The Blue Dolphin, Filey, where her pitch sloped so badly that she didn't have enough leveling blocks to place under her wheel.

Ow's about that then! If it wasn't the jingle jangle of Jimmy's jewellery it was the unrelenting ringing of Tewkesbury Abbey's bells. Even though it was lovely to have a view of the historical monument (the Abbey that is, not Jimmy) the bells ringing every fifteen minutes and for two hours solid between seven and nine o' clock began to become a little tiresome. Even Jim couldn't fix it for them to turn the volume down. Here's a photo of Jim sparking up outside the van, as we don't allow smoking inside. Sorry Jim.
